I was born and raised in Miami, FL and graduated from the University of Florida in May 2017. The University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications is ranked upon the top 10 in the nation. This program has well prepared me for my future endeavors. During my time at UF, I was apart of Public Relations Student Society of America, and I was a part of the the events committee. As a team, we were able to plan events for the student society and raise money. All in all, this was a great leadership and teamwork experience.
During my time in Miami, I was a marketing intern at IOS Health Systems. I handled campaigns to effectively target 900+ clients. Also, I communicated with high-priority clientele during cold calls using critical marketing research tools to establish new markets. I took care of the social media for IOS Health Systems by posting relevant information that would appeal to potential clientele and made sure it was always up to date.
In Gainesville I was a contributing writer for The Independent Florida Alligator, a student-run newspaper. I was published several times, and these articles are available on my portfolio page. I thoroughly interviewed business owners, residents, community leaders and students to get the best material for my articles.
In 2016, I was a public relations volunteer at Girls Place, Inc., a non-profit organization for under privileged girls in the Alachua County community. While working with the coordinator of Girls Place, I was able to target and reach public relation's objectives and goals for the organization. I created a media kit that included a backgrounder, a biographical sketch, fact sheet, feature story, press releases, a public service announcement and a speech.
Ultimately, I am interested in contributing to an organization that is socially aware, fast-paced and creative.
I’m currently a full-time student while I pursue new opportunities and can be reached either through this profile or by email at [email protected]
